Use EcoRoles in ChatGPT and Claude

What the connector does

EcoRoles lists jobs of every kind at climate, clean-energy and sustainability employers (engineering, software, data, finance, sales, operations, policy and field roles), collected from company career pages every day. The EcoRoles connector lets ChatGPT and Claude search those jobs while you chat. Every job it returns links to its page on EcoRoles, where you can read the full description and apply.

The three tools

• Search climate jobs search_jobs

  Finds live jobs on EcoRoles by role or field, location, remote, keywords, level, job type, skills, sector, department and minimum salary. Returns up to 10 jobs with title, company, location, salary where the employer states one, level, job type, posting date, a short description and a link to the job on EcoRoles.

• Climate job market stats job_market_stats

  Counts live jobs for a role or field and a location: how many there are, how many are remote, and the five companies hiring the most.

• List EcoRoles job categories list_categories

  Lists every sector, department and topic on EcoRoles, and the top skills, each with its number of live jobs and its page.

Add it to Claude

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
2. Choose Add custom connector.
3. Name it EcoRoles and enter this address as the remote MCP server URL:https://ecoroles.com/mcp
4. Select Add. There is nothing to sign in to.
5. In a chat, turn EcoRoles on from the tools menu and ask for jobs.

On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds custom connectors for the organization first. In ChatGPT, add the same address wherever your plan lets you connect apps or custom connectors.

Read-only, public data, no login

• The connector only reads the public jobs on EcoRoles. It cannot change anything.
• There is no account and no login. It never asks who you are.
• Your assistant sends us only the search you asked for (for example a role and a place). Links in the answers note which assistant they came from, so we can count visits from ChatGPT and Claude.
• Applying happens on EcoRoles, not in the chat.
