1. What EcoRoles is
EcoRoles is a job board and content platform for the green economy — covering ESG, sustainability, clean energy, and climate careers. Employers pay to post job listings. Job seekers browse and apply for free. We also publish salary guides, career advice, and market intelligence. We are not a recruiting agency, staffing firm, or job placement service.
2. Job listings
Employers are responsible for the accuracy of their job postings. EcoRoles reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove any listing that violates our guidelines, contains misleading information, or falls outside our niche focus.
Job listings are published for the duration specified in the purchased package. EcoRoles does not guarantee any number of applications, views, or hires.
All job listings must include a direct apply URL pointing to the employer's own careers page or application system.
3. Payments and billing
Job posting packages are paid upfront via our payment processor Dodo Payments. Prices are listed on the platform at the time of purchase. All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated.
Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
4. Employer accounts
Employers must provide accurate company and contact information when creating an account. One account per company unless otherwise agreed in writing with EcoRoles.
EcoRoles reserves the right to suspend or terminate employer accounts that violate these terms, post fraudulent or misleading listings, or engage in conduct that harms job seekers or the platform.
5. Job seeker terms
Job seekers use the platform for free. Clicking “Apply” on a listing redirects you to the employer's external careers page. EcoRoles is not involved in the hiring process and is not responsible for employer hiring decisions, communications, or outcomes. We do not collect or store your application data.
6. Content and intellectual property
All editorial content published on EcoRoles — including articles, salary guides, market reports, and newsletter issues — is owned by EcoRoles and protected by copyright. You may share and quote our content with attribution. You may not republish, scrape, or reproduce our content in full without written permission.
Job listing content is owned by the posting employer. By posting a listing, employers grant EcoRoles a license to display and distribute the listing on the platform and in marketing materials (newsletter, social media) for the duration of the listing.
7. Scraped and aggregated listings
EcoRoles may aggregate publicly available job listings from employer career pages to improve coverage for job seekers. These listings link directly to the employer's own application page. Employers who wish to have their listings removed or updated can contact us at hello@ecoroles.com.
8. Disclaimers
The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, or that the site will meet your specific requirements. To the extent permitted by law, EcoRoles is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform or reliance on its content.
EcoRoles does not verify the legitimacy of every employer or job listing. Job seekers should exercise their own judgment before applying or engaging with any employer.
9. User conduct
When using EcoRoles — including the contact form, job posting tools, or any interactive features — you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Use the platform to distribute spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract content from the site
10. Third-party links
EcoRoles links to external websites, employer career pages, and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Links do not constitute endorsement.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. When we do, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
