Client Solutions Associate (Sales and Business Development)
RES · Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
About the Role
At RES, we’re looking for purpose-driven individuals who are passionate about restoration and sustainability, and who want their work to make a lasting environmental impact. Our team members go above and beyond, bringing initiative, integrity, and a strong work ethic to every project. Collaboration is key—we thrive on teamwork, open communication, and diverse perspectives. In a field that constantly changes, we value those who are resilient, adaptable, and resourceful in the face of challenges. If you're intellectually curious, eager to learn, and ready to help restore ecosystems and protect natural resources, you’ll find your place here.
Why You’ll Love This Job
- You’ll grow your career in purpose-driven work. From the start, you’ll contribute to projects that restore land and water and help solve some of today’s most complex environmental challenges.
- You’ll build connections across teams and industries. You’ll engage with experts in ecology, engineering, policy, and construction—while learning how RES supports clients in achieving regulatory and environmental goals.
- You’ll gain skills that last. Whether it’s understanding contract structures, creating presentation materials, or reading market signals, you’ll develop a foundation in business development, strategy, and client engagement.
- You’ll be part of a high-performing, supportive team. We’ll help you succeed through mentorship, structured learning, and real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
A Day in the Life
No two days look the same. As a Client Solution Associate, you keep opportunities moving so our Client Solution Managers can focus on strategy and client relationships.
Your morning might start by scanning public notices, industry announcements, and market intelligence for projects that fit RES’s capabilities, then researching prospective clients, consultants, and competitors to turn early leads into real opportunities.
By afternoon, you could prepare for a Go/No-Go discussion: gather project details, flag potential challenges, and organize the information the team needs to decide where to invest. When a client meeting is on the calendar, you build the briefing materials, support the presentation, capture action items, and drive follow-up.
As pursuits advance, you coordinate across technical, operational, financial, and marketing teams to track deadlines and pull proposals together. Along the way, you keep the CRM accurate and produce the reports, dashboards, and market updates that show where business development stands.
You’ll also be growing. Through coaching, training, and shadowing Client Solution Managers, you’ll gain exposure to the commercial, technical, and financial sides of the business and take on increasingly complex pursuits as you build toward a Client Solution Manager role.
